Who are you?
My name is John Koster. I am a husband, father, software developer, writer, and a cook (I wear many hats throughout the day).
What is this place?
This is my digital home, the place where I dump a lot of my ideas, and where I experiment with various things. I've been generating content consistently since 2012, and have recently begun the process of migrating all the content to the site - one place for all of the things. The most popular content on this site are the articles on the Laravel framework.
What was used to build this site?
I like some of your articles, can I repost them on my site (or in other places)?
No. A lot of time goes into the creation of every article; the time it takes to get a thought into written form as well as the time it takes to create any accompanying assets is much longer than one might expect. The most common rationale behind the reposting of content verbatim is that it "helps to increase exposure" (or something similar) - this doesn't really hold up in practice.
